The influence of factors due to the properties of catalysts and peculiarities of countercurrent heat sources on the stability of gaseous fuel oxidation is assessed. It is shown that peculiarities of the initial period of catalytic reaction dictate the possibility of burner stable work in the future. The role of various catalyst zones in the maintenance of flameless fuel oxidation autothermality is determined.
