Correctness of formulation of solutions of inverse thermoelectricity
problems has been studied, conditions for the existence and uniqueness
of solutions of these problems have been established, general methods for
finding solutions of inverse thermoelectricity problems for inhomogeneous,
gyrotropic and anisotropic media have been described
The foundations of theory of optimal design of conductive
microcalorimeters with eddy thermoelectric heat flow sensors have
been outlined. The most important microcalorimeter components, namely
reaction chambers, eddy thermoelectric sensor and temperature control
units, as well as their interrelations have been optimized.
General idea of thermoelectricity development in Japan by illustrating the case of its pioneer, Komatsu Co. Ltd. and its subsidiary Komatsu Electronics Inc.
The paper analyzes the use of semiconductor materials in thermoelectric energy converters atfention is drawn to the fact that the use of semiconductors based on theoretical concepts of electron theory of solid state had been preceded by the phase of empirical investigations testifying to the efficiency of using semiconductor materials in thermoelectricity.
