The electrical conductivity, Seebeck coefficient, electronic thermal conductivity and the thermoelectric figure of merit are calculated at room temperature in a quasi-one-dimensional (Q1D) organic semiconductor, consisting of molecules which form linear conducting chains. Two simultaneous mechanisms of electron-phonon interaction are taken into account. For certain conditions, due to the interference of these mechanisms, the amplitude of the electron-phonon scattering is considerably reduced. The relaxation time as
The results of historical research proving the discovery of thermoelectricity by Volta are given. Physical conditions for observation by Volta of the origination of thermoelectric effect are described. The observations by Volta are confirmed by reproduction of his experiments.
Academic program of training specialists in thermoelectricity
developed by the Department of Thermoelectricity of the Chernivtsi Nati
onal University is presented. The program defines logical interaction between different disciplines and serves as a basis for planning of academic process aimed at training young people at school; training of students for Bachelor 92s and Master 92s degree and qualification of specialist, further post-graduate and doctorate studies as well as refresher trai
Peculiarities and tendencies for progress in the research, development and
use of organic fueled thermogenerators are discussed. State of the art and
prospects for improving their efficiency and relevant applications are
analyzed.
